Surprise Tiara!!!

We had a very fun Surprise Party for Tiara for her Birthday this year...
It was a little early, her actual birthday isn't until the 21st, but it was the only time we can get on the calendar to have it before her Birthday!!!



She had Six friends over and we all went to see Sleeping Beauty performed at the Tigard High School, and Jimmy was our Escort.



I got all the girls Hats, lace gloves and white purses to wear to the play.





And Jimmy wore a Vest, Tie and Top Hat!!!! He was so handsome!!!



Since THS is across the street, we just walked over... We turned a lot of heads with all the fancy hats and lace gloves.... Quite a site of pretty little ladies!!!



























James was a good sport the whole time... It was probably more painful then he let on....











The Hammock was a favorite... All seven girls fit in it....

We got free Mini Golf Coupons from the Tigard Library for signing up for the summer Reading program... And we went with the neighbor kids...

Fourth of July!

We didn't take the camera to the BBQ, But Huge Thanks to the Smiths for the Invite...

We got home with plenty of time before dark... so we sampled a few of the fire works...
And killed time with a few good books...











Tiara was a trying to beat my record on Brick Breaker... But we enjoyed watching all the neighbors up the block with all their fire works as well....

Play Date with Jared... Wresteling 101

Jimmy had Jared over for a play date a while back, and they both love to wrestle, so laid out the blankets in the back yard, and Tiara and I were the ref's... It lasted about 5 minutes before I had to cancel the match... they're not quite ready for that... LOL!

Hydroponic Tomatoes

This year my friend Alan lent me some stuff he had bought last year to grow hydroponic tomatoes. He hadn't had time to do it, so I thought we'd give it a try. As you can see, they are doing rather well. They take in about 2 gallons of water a day, and they have tons of green tomatoes and blossoms on them. Hopefully we see some ripe ones soon. The ones we planted in the dirt are still only about 2 feet tall, and not really outside of the wire cages yet.

Daddy Daughter Pinewood Derby!!!

Tiara named her Pinewood Derby car Lightning Bolt!!!



It didn't always look this cute, it started like all the rest of them, a plain wood block, and they went from there... She spent many days drafting her ideal design... She even checked out on line the different kinds that others have done... and she came up with this!!!






James took over the sanding and drilling after a mishap that landed the drill caught really bad in Tiara's hair... We thought for sure that we were going to have to cut it out... but James was able to carefully take the drill apart piece by piece and save both the drill and her hair!!! Go James!!!





And It turned out Great!!!!







There were a lot more then this, but they were never all on there at the same time...







Tiara came in second place in every heat and race she competed in...



However at the end when they just raced for fun and challenged each other she won first place quite a few times...





And when all was said and done, she won a major award!!!
Most aerodynamic car.... All the planning paid off!!!

Happy Fathers Day!!!

This awesome hammock was actually a late birthday present from James parents... He opened it yesterday, but we set it up today for fathers day.... It's my favorite gift of his, it's huge, we could both fit in it... we could probably all four fit in it, but I don't trust the trees!!!!









This was one of my presents to him... Matching helmets... I mean, i'm sure he didn't really want just one!!! His is the black one, mine is the white one! We plan on getting custom detailing on them, I just didn't want to decide that with out him!!! Notice the built in sun glasses on the picture at the top... Nice!!!!









I uploaded the pictures in reverse order... It's late, i'm tired....
So you get to see each gift, and then the build up to it... LOL!!!



The other gift I got him was another favorite DVD of his, There Will Be Blood!
I drink Your Milkshake!!!!





Tiara got James a funny little rug for his office that he wanted... it's designed after a man hole cover that says SF DPW Sewer.... She thought it was funny and wanted to get it for him... It was on his list of gifts he wanted... Jimmy thought it was so crazy and weird, He DID NOT want to get that as his gift... he was like, NO WAY!!!! Tiara got it, she laughed and said I want to....





Tiara also drew him a picture and told him he was the #1 Dad and that he Rocked!!!! So funny!







Jimmy got him a really cool gift too that he wanted... really three gifts in one.
It is these three different clips that attach to his motorcycle, one is a compas, one is a clock, and one is a thermometer...



And Jimmy made him a card with pictures and everything...
Jimmy also gave an excellent talk in Primary about Fathers... We'll take some pictures of what he had for it and gave to James tomorrow... It was pretty neat!!!

We had fun decorating while we waited for James to get home from work.



We got one present early, a HUGE California flag... I used it as a decoration, but it will have a home soon...



Jimmy wanted his present opened first.... It was a DVD James really wanted...

And not one but Two birthday desserts.... I mean with 35 candles we kind of didn't have a choice... We still ended up just putting 3 candles on one and 5 on the other...
